Various Radio-plays and Features for the public broadcasters Deutschland Radio, RBB, SWR, WDR, SR and others Jens Bohnsack Jones was born in Bonn, West-Germany in 1979. His first professional acting job was 2000 in the “White Rose” in Bonn’s municipal youth theatre. He played Wily Graf, member of a resistance group of students in Munich fighting the Nazi-Regime. Jens raised the attention of a casting agency in nearby Cologne.

After finishing school and completing his year of social service he moved to Berlin to study acting at the University of the Arts in 2002. The study programme included a term of training and work experience in Tuscany, Italy and Moscow, Russia. Next to studying Jens worked continuously for the public broadcasters Deutschland Radio and Rundfunk Berlin- Brandenburg (RBB) in radio-plays and features. In his final year of study he played Oliver Twist in the municipal theatre of Dortmund and Simon in the “Lord of the Flies”in Berlin.

After graduating in 2006 he joined the ensemble of the Theatre Freiburg in the Black Forest. In 2007 and 2008 the theatre was proclaimed Theatre of the Year by the magazine “Deutsche Bühne”. Jens played in various productions. His favourite part was Peter Pan. In his spare time he voluntarily lead a theatre youth group for three years. He continued to work for the radio, mostly with the public broadcaster Suedwestrundfunk (SWR).

Jens acted in two films “Regards To The Sun” and the other, still untitled and yet to be produced. In 2009 the Freiburg ensemble went to Istanbul with its stage-version of the novel “Snow” by the Turkish noble prize- winner Orhan Pamuk. In August 2009 Jens resigned in order to live in Sydney, Australia.
